Loreto Out of Time

The Pueblo Mágico known as Loreto is located in an arid desert adjacent to the Sierra La Giganta and the Gulf of California. There is a timeless quality to the land and sea surrounding Loreto that is reminiscent of old black and white movies and bygone eras. The seaside landscapes are lush with mangroves and salty sand flats while the rocky cliffs of the Sierra La Giganta tower to the west. The salty Gulf of California is home to one of the world’s most biodiverse bodies of water. The striking contrast between the desert, mountains, and sea is unforgettable.

Loreto Bay National Marine Park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. I am pleased to partner with The Ocean Foundation. The Ocean Foundation continues to do work to protect the land, watersheds, and sea surrounding Loreto. 5% of proceeds from sales of this series go to the Ocean Foundation’s Keep Loreto Magical program.
