La Condesa

Agave

This image is part of a series I made in the spring of 2020. We were living in the cultural Mecca known as Mexico City. Our little haven was in Colonia La Condesa. Streets were bare of traffic and the occasional dog walker was the lone human seen from our leaded glass windows. Bird songs filled the air. Quédate en Casa was the name of the game. Most businesses and restaurants were closed and activities outside of the home were limited to essential. It was the beginning of COVID-19 changing the way we lived.

In the absence of people on the streets, I began to notice the shadows. For a moment, it felt as if the world was slowing down. This image is part of an upcoming series about the light and dark of that time. More images from this city of love are coming soon.
